Paris looks like a middle-school playground

french version below I was scrolling mindlessly through my Instagram feed for a couple of minutes the other day — the new way to take our lunch — when I realised how similar all the pictures were. Most of them came from street style accounts of the ‘western fashion capitals’. The ‘fashionistas’ in these accounts, whether they were located in Europe or the USA, looked very similar: baggy jeans, loose T-shirts, shoulder bags for men and low-waisted jeans and tiny tops for women, not to mention the midi-low-waisted skirt and leather cowboy boot combo, reminiscent of the Y2K era.
